Beautiful weather
We soaked up the unreasonably good weather at the start of the month with a coffee date around town—dogs included, of course. Sunshine, caffeine, and a leisurely wander felt like the perfect way to ease into the season.

First clothes
A big creative milestone: Anju finished her very first pair of pants. Naturally, Jake immediately claimed them as his own—clearly the highest possible compliment.

Back to Texas!
We headed back to Texas for a packed visit full of a 5K, crawfish, campfires, and birthdays. First stop: Mummy’s house to celebrate her birthday and kick things off properly.

Next up: evenings around the fire, plenty of s’mores, and that unmistakable Texas backyard energy.

We also discovered that the Minute Maid 5K had quietly become the Daikin 5K—but names aside, the run was still a great time. When else would we get the opportunity to walk over Houston bridges and get that view of the city?

And honestly, the real highlight was finishing things off with a crawfish boil.

Jake wrapped up the month with a work trip to Chicago—and wisely squeezed in a full-on food tour of the city before heading home.
